Does anyone know where I can get a free domain name.?
Preferably one that supports FTP upload and has Frontpage Server Extensions or SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft.

You cannot find domain names for free. Domain names have to be registered. Once you register, you have to find a company to host the domain name, which is not free. =P Sorry

Domain names are pretty cheap – roughly, $12.00 a year, through someone like godaddy.com This gets you the NAME people type in to get to your site but, you also need a host – the folks that broadcast your site. That might not be so cheap and hardly free if you are planning on any volume.
Generally, your Internet Service Provider offers limited free space because you connect to the Internet through them. Mine offers FTP and I use dreamweaver mostly, but sometimes you can opt for Frontpage extensions if that is the prgram you like best.
Finally, if you utilize your ISP space you can google a free domain name. There are some people that offer shorter URL addresses that will replace a longer name by default from your ISP (Like http://www.primenetwork/~GetMeTheBigKnife.net to http://www.razor.net

Domains names are not, and never will be “Free” as you put it. There are a great many offers out there by hosting companies that if you choose one of their hosting packages, they will pay for the cost of the domain name. These are usually over priced and not worth the effort.
Your best bet is to register your domain with Yahoo Domains. They cost only $2.99/year for the major extensions and thats who I use. You can then take your pick of the thousands upon thousands of hosting companies, or even make your own computer your web host if you get some static IP addresses.
