Well I’ve a question here, how do I set up an FTP account for my friend? As in, I’ve 5GB of space but I want to give some of it to my friend. He must have a username and password to access his account. May I know if this feature is available in 1and1.com web hosting at $2.99/mth?

can anyone tell me some websites which provides ftp(server) hosting (uploading files etc)???

Hi there, I need to find a good ftp provider. I’ve been using gmail but it’s not so great because there’s a max of 10MB per attatchment. I don’t need to make webpages or anything fancy. I just need maybe 200MB or so, to backup my work onto. Does anyone know where I can find that? I don’t mind paying as long as it’s not too much and they take maestro cards.

I’ve been using the Connect To Server (Command-K) to connect to FTP sites, but I’m trying to upload a file by drag-dropping into the FTP folder. (I know I have the proper permissions since upload works using a dedicated FTP client). Does anyone know if the upload functionality works with the Connect To Server program in OS X? If not, what are my options to upload files without installing new programs (I need to teach someone how to upload to the FTP site) If anyone has any suggestions, it would help me out greatly.
