What’s blocking my FTP client?
I just installed a router for my DSL account, and now CuteFTP can’t connect to my webhost anymore. My Windows Firewall is up, but settings haven’t been changed. CuteFTP is registered, of course, as an exception for the firewall.
Is there a feature on my Linksys that’s blocking access to port 21? If so, how can I turn it off? Is it port triggering? UPnP forwarding? MAC address filtering? Something else. All sounds Greek to me…
Dwight, thanks for the emergency solution. Now I can at least keep on working while I search for the cause. Much appreciated!

How do I upload using WS_FTP?
I’m taking a college course online. I have dreamweaver, but I’m not sure how ws_ftp works which is the way they want me to upload my work. Can I just upload a folder (with all my projects) so that i need to keep working on it, or do i need to upload every page seperatly? Also how would I upload the default page? Meaning can that be in a folder or by itself? Thank You very much- holly
