Well I’ve a question here, how do I set up an FTP account for my friend? As in, I’ve 5GB of space but I want to give some of it to my friend. He must have a username and password to access his account. May I know if this feature is available in 1and1.com web hosting at $2.99/mth?

I go on the file menu
go to publish to the web
save in box click ftp location
double click add/mod ftp loc
enter site name, password, user id
click ok
click cancel

Here’s where the problem begins
go back to file menu
click pub to web
save in click ftp locations
under add mod ftp loc I see my ftp I created
I double click on this location
What folder do I want to publish my site in? I have no idea I tried all the folders listed uinder the ftp location, and I even tried creating a new folder. I am baffled
It just tries to save but the progress bar never moves and eventually it doesnt go through.

I cant login to my site using SmartFTP (which works for every other site I have). I just dont know how to login for a Geocities Plus acct… like what login do I need to use, what address do I need to use? my geocities URL is http://www.geocities.com/danneel_harris_fans OR http://www.danneel-harris-fans.com ………… so pleeeeeeeeease tell me what you would do. Thanks

I have been given passwords and a user name for a club website. I belong to the club. I have been told i can upload/download files via your FTP account – enter required details in your FTP program as follows.

Do I need special software, or should I be able to to add information to the site?

Please can anyone help?
