How To upload files via FTP using Internet Explorer — IE

In this tutorial we will show you how to upload files via FTP using Internet Explorer — IE. The FTP ( File Transfer Protocol) time will vary according to your bandwidth, the server bandwidth and file size. One thing that you can always do for large files is to start the upload and go do something else — like exercise, meditate or watch a movie. Patience is a virtue, and when talking about FTP file transfers, is also a blessing. Thank you for watching.

How do I remove the FTP passwords?

I use internet explorer to access FTP to some servers. I once set all of them to “remember password”, so it enters directly, and now I don’t know how to remove those passwords. I want it to ask me the password every time I try to connect. How do I make internet explorer forget those passwords?? Thanks!

My explorer will not go to login on any ftp site. It always logs on anonamously.?

If I type in ftp.(site).com it will find the site but show it as if I am anonamous. This does not allow for the right click menu with the login in as… option. I can not find a place to change this setting. It worked at one time. I have also downloaded Explorer 7.0 and this did not make any difference. Does anyone know what I can set to change this. I really need to get onto several websites. Using another ftp software is not an answer since I need the login capability of Internet Explorer.

This book says I can download FTP software that may or may not be free but it also says I can use Internet explorer and type in ftp:/myname:mypassword@siteaddress.net/home/web/wherever. i dont understand this link. is the password and name from the webserver? is teh siteaddress.net the webserver address? or is it just a FTP address? if its just a FTP address why does it suggest downloading FTP programs.. and how do I find a FTP address? I’m just looking for a cool way to store files on the net like i am on my computer with directories and subdirectories without paying money none at all. help
