I want to know the max no. of concurrent connections that can be opened on a single FTP port in various operating systems like

1. Windows 2000
2. Windows XP
3. Windows 2003 server

i am wanting to use the filezilla ftp server for a short time to let my brother copy some of our pictures from my computer to his which is several hundred miles away. i figured i could just use and ftp server. the problem is i have all the port forwarding for the ftp and firewalls off and even set the dmz host on the routers for both computers to them. i dont understand, i cannot ping either one of the computers. why is this. it seems if i had all the ports forwarded it would work? it works on another non networked pc. what can i do?

i need to clarify, its two different networks in two different places.
well i thought i could but i cant, i cant connect to it from another non networked computer this is really strange. it worked like three years ago.
wasnt born yesterday. im using the ip address from isp. i go to myipaddress.com and that should get it right?

when i went to put my ftp server online, my ftp server software said that port 21 might already be in use. i need to use port 21 so how do i shut it down?

My computer is connnected to a wireless network which has my internet access. Using my free network port I have my Soft Moded xbox connected to my computer using a cross over cable. I can share files and ftp easily, but I can not get internet access on my Xbox.

What do I do?
I don’t want to have to spend $90 on a wireless network game adapter.
No where are they selling them for 25 dollars.
