Options for online file storage?
I need a central place to store files, and I’m thinking online could be handy. I own several domains (hosted) with plenty of space, and ftp accounts. I also have several pc’s, some at home, some I travel with. But ftp can be a hassle sometimes. I know there are some free services.
Ideally, I’d like to be able to permanently map a virtual internet drive and just connect whenever I have a fast enough connection.
What are some other options for online storage?
Secure online storage?
I have a client that wants to make large files available to subcontractors, and their e-mail server is dropping files larger than 20MB. This client is not technically inclined, and I’m not sure about the security of FTP uploads to blind links on a Web server.
I guess my main question is: Do most hosting services have online storage for large files that allow sharing of those large files securely?
how can i get xp pro to see a network disk?
I purchased a network storage device. It is basically an enclosure with a 250 GB HD. It offers SMB and FTP shares through an HTML manager.
I can map the shares using my computer or Net USE commands from DOS. The drives are there and I can get to them through dos. However, they do not show up within my computer or as Drive M: (the drive letter I mapped them to). So, my programs do not see the drive shares for use.
Now I have three XP Pro machines, two can do exactly what I want, and one can’t see the drives.
Does anyone know about a service I should check or a security setting?
No, Windows Firewall is not running, nor is any other firewall/IPS product.
Of Course, I can ping to the landisk. It is on the same switch as the pcs.
ANy help would be appreciated.

Can anyone tell me a free webhosting service that has FTP, Coldfusion and gives you a subdomain?
Storage limit and bandwidth limits are not an option
