i have a netcom adsl2+ wireless router, through which my brother mfc640cw printer is connected wirelessly to my pc.

it prints fine etc, sending the doc’s wirelessly to the printer.

however, i wanted to access a memory card from the card reader on the printer today and IE, firefox and opera all couldn’t find the printer.

opera indicated that i might want to put in the correct ip address of the printer.

at the moment it’s just putting in “ftp://brw_165816/”, and comes up with “450 media not available. please check media” in firefox.

all latest updates to windows xp and firefox have been installed.

so just wondering how do i find the ip of my printer so i can put it in the address bar and search for that?

any other tips? if you need more details, say and i will add them.

to the first answerer, thanks for that, i went to the ip of the router and the config told me the ip address of the printer.

i am now investigating what i can do with that!

I recently downloaded a program that allows me to creat a FTP server. It says that I have a differnet IP address that my wireless router says. I set the program to go with the router’s IP address and I can access the server only from my computer, not from any other computer. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
